About Us

As a group Americans spend almost every penny they earn, leaving little or nothing left for the savings account. Most of us don’t have enough saved for retirement or even for an emergency. We regularly stress out about money. There never seems to be enough. We pray that the car doesn’t break down or the washing machine doesn’t stop working, because we don’t have extra money available. We dream of having enough money to easily pay our living expenses, pay off debt, save more, and have plenty left over for the extra stuff – things like a new computer, a fancy dinner out, and a nice vacation every year.

Why are we having such a hard time?

·         We fail to plan. Most of us have had little, if any, personal financial training and we don’t know where to go to learn how to improve our financial situation.

·         We live above our means, which requires us to take on too much debt.

·         Our emergency funds are too small. A job loss, divorce, or serious illness will quickly have devastating financial consequences.

·         We take our jobs for granted and are unprepared when that job is lost.

·         We don’t have up-to-date skills to qualify for a better paying job.

·         We don’t understand the current job market.
